Cabaye Set to Join PSG, De Jong to Nufc

Tuesday 28 January 2014

Newcastle United have agreed a deal to sell Yohan Cabaye to PSG according to Sky Sports. The French club recently had a £14 million offer rejected but came back with a significantly increased bid.

Yohan Cabaye

The Toon had placed a £25 million price tag on Cabaye, so it is thought to be somewhere around that region. Alan Pardew said on Monday he was worried it may happen and it now seems those worries have become a reality.

Pardew said "You are talking to someone who lost Andy Carroll with eight hours to go, so am I confident? No, I'm not confident and I don't think any team not in a Champions League position or fighting for a Champions League position could be," said Pardew.
"I don't want him (Cabaye) to go. We have not indicated for one moment here from the owner down to any of my staff that we want him to go, not one iota."

So what now for Newcastle? Can Joe "F**king" Kinnear be trusted to find a replacement for Cabaye?

Newcastle United were linked to Remy Cabella earlier in the window, but it has been stated by his club that he will not leave in this window.

And with every club knowing the Toon having money to spend, it's certainly going to be difficult to get someone in. Lets hope Mike Ashley pulls his finger out his arse and gives the Toon Army something to shout about.

Luuk De Jong is joining the Toon for the rest of the season on loan, hasnt scored in 9 months but neither has Shola Ameobi.

Will Cabaye be replaced in this window?

Comments welcome.

Dante to Man Utd

Tuesday 21 January 2014

Bayern Munich defender Dante has revealed ongoing negotiations between his representatives and Manchester United.

Dante in action

The Brazilian Stalwart has been strongly linked with club over the last few days and David Moyes is thought to be a keen admirer of the player.

After initially denying reports at first, Dante said "We have to wait until 31st January, but things are much further ahead."

The 30 year old was key in Bayern Munichs success last season and was ever present as the German giants went on to do the treble.

While he is a quality player, I think United should address their problems in the centre of the park first.

So is he the right man for United? Is he too old at 30?

let me know what you think.

Mata CFC - Man Utd Bid £35M

Monday 20 January 2014

The  Chelsea man is close to joining Manchester United according to reports. Manchester united have bid £35 Million for the player.

Mata to join United?

Manchester United have made a £35 million bid for Chelsea's Juan Mata through a third party, according to Sky Sports News sources.

Neither club have confirmed the offer but the playmaker missed training today and it appears that the first move has been made in what would be one of the biggest transfers of the season.
Deals of this magnitude are seldom completed without complications and the indications are that intermediaries are being allowed to make the running in negotiations before matters are made official.

The attacking midfielder - a £23.5m signing from Valencia in 2011 - has found first-team opportunities limited under Jose Mourinho this season, playing 90 minutes on just three occasions.

What a signing it would be for United, I wonder if Rooney could be headed the other way?

So, will Mata fit into the team? He's been not too great this season and it's not clear where he will play. His best position is behind the striker, but Rooney, Adnan Januzaj, Fellaini and Kagawa are all competing for that spot. He can also play on the wings, so Valencia is probably the most obvious choice to make way.

That would certainly improve Man Utd, although not as much as Yohan Cabaye would in my opinion.

After the Chelsea debacle, it is clear Moyes needs to do something and fast.

West Brom v Everton + Prediction+Link

West Brom v Everton

Pepe Mel's first game in charge for the baggies against an Everton side who have only lost twice all season. Everton have a chance to jump of their riveals Liverpool and go 4th should they win this evening.

It will be hard to back against inform Lukaku scoring tonight, so I'm going for Lukaku to score first and a 1-1 draw.

I have a feeling it's going to be a shite match but you never know. I'm sticking a whole 2 quid on the game so I will be watching since I am financially invested.

Prediction 1-1 with Lukaku to score first

6/1 for a 1-1 draw and 35/1 for 1-1 + Lukaku to score first.

Nufc - Remy Cabella Done Deal

Newcastle have reached a deal to sign Remy Cabella from Monpellier according to the French club's chairman Laurent Nicollin.

Cabella to Join Toon?

Nicollin has been quoted in a French newspaper saying there has been an "agreement" between both club and it is now subject to personal terms.

But he also stated that Cabella would not leaving the club until the summer.

“We have agreed a deal with Newcastle, something I will not go into,” said chairman Nicollin.
“However, the deal does not include the departure of Remy Cabella before June. That is a certainty.”

Newcastle have been courting the French attacking midfielder for some time now and would be seen as an ideal replacement for Yohan Cabaye.

Cabaye has been linked with various clubs and also a rumoured bid of £20 million from PSG, even though he has stated he wants to remain at the club until the summer it could all be down to whether Newcastle's hand is tempted to cash in.

Chelsea 3 Man United 1

Sunday 19 January 2014

Painful viewing for Manchester United fans as Chelsea smashed them at the bridge. With injuries to key players the Red Devils could be forgiven for such a devastating result, if it were not for the manner it came.

Hat-trick Hero Eto'o
Samuel Eto'o with an excellent hat trick to put Man United to the sword. The Cameroonian was in lethal form today as he tortured the red devils. Hernandez grabbed a consolation, but it was a case of too little too late. Also a red card for Vidic late on.

United look a shadow of their former selves and David Moyes must be wondering what he has let himself in for. Leaving the Comfortable surroundings of Goodison and diving head first into the cauldron that is Old Trafford.

The question remains can Moyes turn it around? Is this season a right off?

I said in another post Yohan Cabaye is perfect for Manchester united and I still stand by that, he has everything that they are missing in the middle of the park. Leadership, skill and tenacity in abundance.

With the transfer window still open there is still time to turn things around. Even though title aspirations are all but gone, it is imperative United qualify for the Champions League. Failure to do so could see Moyes out on his backside.

Can United turn things around?

Comments welcome.

P.S. Fortunately I got 7/2 for Chelsea to score over 2.5 goals to give you United fans something to cheer about.

You can watch some really shit video highlights in link below.

Chelsea V Manchester United Team News

Chelsea v Man Utd

With Manchester United stuttering in the league Chelsea will be looking to deal David Moyes another hefty blow.

The Stamford bridge side are going well at the moment and currently lay in 3rd place in the Barclay’s Premier League, but they are still 5 points adrift of league leader’s Arsenal and need a win today to keep in touch.

United however in 7th with 37 points, in what could only be described as a transitional season really need to put their foot to the peddle and go on an amazing run to even consider a run for the title. But with injuries aplenty it is not looking to good for David Moyes side

Prediction – Chelsea 3 – Man Utd 1

Team News –

Man Utd - De Gea; Rafael, Evans, Vidic (c)Evra; Valencia, Jones, Carrick, Young, Januzaj; Welbeck.

Man Utd need Cabaye

Yohan Cabaye

Newcastle man Yohan Cabaye could be set to quit the toon and head for pastures new.  Alan Pardew has said today every player has their price, hinting the French international could be up for grabs.

“All the transfer windows as manager of Newcastle United are nervy and I will be nervous until it closes.”Pardew said. Everybody is for sale at some price, but we're conscious that we have a good team and we will try to keep it together.”

Cabaye's stock has never been higher than it is at the moment and with rumours he could buy out his contract in the summer for as low as £6 million the Toon may be looking to cash in.

Manchester United missed a trick not signing this fella in the summer and since he has not played in Europe this season would be an excellent addition to the faltering red devils.

Come on folks what do you think? A good signing for @ManUtd? Would you want him in your squad?

To make things interesting it is being rumoured PSG have came in with a £20 million bid subject to Newcastle signing Remy Cabella.

Ji Dong-Won to join Borussia Dortmund

Friday 17 January 2014

Ji Dong-Won is to sign a four-year deal to join Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund in the summer on a free - a day after leaving Sunderland for Augsburg.

Happy to have left the Mackems

The South Korea international, 22, left the Mackems for next to nothing on Thursday to join Ausburg until the end of the season.

And 24 hours later it was announced he will join Bundesliga rivals Dortmund on a free transfer in July, oops.

"We're delighted to be getting this talented player on a free transfer in time for the new season."

Ji signed for Sunderland in June 2011, scoring just two goals in 28 appearances. He scored five times in 17 appearances during a six-month loan spell with Augsburg.
Well once again Sunderland always like to give us a bit of a laugh.. *chortle*

Even funnier "Borussia Dortmund were reported to have made a £5m bid to sign Ji Dong-Won in the summer but it was rejected by then-boss Paolo Di Canio"

"Dong-Won Ji is a professional who can play in several positions across the attack," said Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc.

Bertrand to the Villa

Ryan Bertrand joins Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season.
"Ryan brings a lot of big-game experience, not only in the Barclays Premier League but even a Champions League final which Chelsea won, so he'll be really good for us,” Villa boss Paul Lambert told the club’s official website.

Bertrand joins Villa on loan
"The way he plays the game and as a person, too, he'll fit in here great and it will be good for him also to be playing games. He has real enthusiasm for the game and he's looking forward to playing here.

"We're grateful to Chelsea for allowing him to come here on loan and we know he'll be really good to work with."

Bertrand is chuffed by the move to Villa Park and is looking forward to regular playing time under Lambert.

"It's a fantastic opportunity for me to come here. Aston Villa is a fantastic club with a massive fanbase and a great history. To get this chance to come here and play some games will be a really good step for me," said the defender.

"Whenever I've played for Chelsea here at Villa Park the fans have been fantastic and have always created a great atmosphere. The pitch, too, has always been great, including when we played in the Community Shield here against Manchester City, and I'm looking forward to playing on it more regularly until the end of the season.

"I've had to adjust many times in my career having played under several managers, so I know I can settle in here quickly and I'm looking forward to being able to contribute to the team.

"Knowing some of the lads here, too, such as Fabian Delph, Marc Albrighton and a few others will really help, too, and I couldn't be more looking forward to playing my part here."

Is this a good move for Bertrand? Should he have been given more of a role at Chelsea?  I rate the guy and with so many foreign players playing in the premiership its good to see an English youngster is getting a chance.

Spurs in for LOSC' Soloman Kalou

Tottenham are set for talks over a £2.6m deal for Lille’s Salomon Kalou, 28, according to the Daily Mail

Kalou interests Spurs

The former Chelsea reject is ready to move back to the Premier League and Spurs boss Tim Sherwood has declared his interest in the striker. Kalou could hold talks in London as soon as Friday.

LOSC are looking to hold on to their forward, who has made 20 appearances for the club scoring 6 times.

He joined Chelsea from Feyenoord and spent six seasons at Stamford Bridge, before joining Lille on a Bosman after their Chelsea's European Cup Final triumph in 2012.

Is he the right man for Tottenham?

Kolou made over 250 appearances for Chelsea with 60 goals and 40 assists, which is a bit Shola Ameobi esque for a forward. (Just Kidding)

I think Spurs' squad is a bit overkill at the moment, do they really need more players? I suppose with Defoe off to pastures new they will be looking for someone to fill the gap.

Newcastle United - Tim Krul Wanted By Milan

Tim Krul wanted by Seedorf

AC Milan could be about to make an £8m offer to Newcastle United for goalkeeper Tim Krul. In what would be a Krul blow to Newcastle (forgive the pun) Seedorf is looking to make the Dutch stopper his first signing at the San Siro according to Metro .
.

The Italian side have been long time admirers of the Dutchman, Krul, 25, has been hailed as one of the most consistent goalkeepers in Europe by fellow Dutchman and former Manchester United keeper Edwin Van Der Sar,  he has also been courted by Napoli and Borussia Monchengladbach among others.

Krul has made 129 appearances for the Premier League club and has been at Newcastle since he was 17 after joining in 2005. He would be considered a great loss to the Toon Army.

Milan have been terrible this season and currently sit in 11th place in Serie A, could Krul be tempted by a mega move to Italy?

I seriously hope not, Newcastle United would struggle to find a stopper as good as him and with Rob Elliot waiting in the wings he wouldn't inspire confidence amongst the Toon support. The thought of Elliot as numero uno makes me a little bit sick in the mouth.

What do you think? What are the chances of Newcastle United doing business of any kind this window?

Paul Ince Sacked - Tom headed for Monaco?

Blackpool boss Paul Ince has been sacked from the club after less than a year in charge. Ince only manged a single point since November, during a run consisting of 9 losses in 10 games.

Paul Ince sacked

The Seasiders were top of the table back in September but have since dropped to a lowly 14th, Barry ferguson has been made caretaker manager for the time being.

The 46-year-old won manager of the month in August before the wheels began to fall off at an alarming speed both on and off the field.

Three players were sent off in the loss at Yeovil and two more were given their marching orders in a 5-1 thrashing to Derby four days later.
Ince, 46, was appointed Blackpool manager in February 2013, a month after Michael Appleton left to join Blackburn, but only won 12 of his 42 games in charge of the Seasiders.
He was handed a five-match stadium ban by the FA in October after he was found guilty of using violent conduct towards a match official. Blackpool were also criticised for their disciplinary record when they had five players sent off in the space of two games at the start of December.

His son Thomas Ince also looks set to follow his dad out of the club.

England Under-21 midfielder Tom  has had talks with the French club in London on Thursday, ahead of signing a lucrative pre-contract ahead of a summer move - a deal, according to the Mirror .

England U21 Tom Ince

Tom has played 24 times for Blackpool this season scoring 7 times.

Would it be a good deal for Blackpool? I'm caught in two minds personally. I want to see English talent come through the ranks and into the Premier League, but at the same time hardly any Englishman venture out into the European game.

Would the England national team benefit with more players plying their trade abroad?

Monaco currently lay in second place behind the other moneybags French club PSG. Ince could end up playing in the Champions League next season. Is he good enough?

What do you think? drop me a message.
