Kurt Zouma set for Chelsea

Saint Etienne stalwart Kurt Zouma says he is desperate to join Chelsea after holding talks with Jose Mourinho.

France Under-21 star Zouma looks to be their number one priority, after signing Nemanja Matic from Benfica this week, according to Metro

Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle are also admirers of Zouma, who is highly rated around Europe, but the defender says he only wants to join Chelsea.

At first I thought it was a joke. When a great man like Jose Mourinho contacts a small player like Kurt Zouma – that offers great pride.

‘If I was told to join Chelsea, I would go immediately. It will be down to the coach, though, to make the call.’

It’s thought that Saint Etienne would do sell for about £13million.

Is Zouma ready for the Premier League? Or could he end up rotting away in the graveyard that is Chelsea reserves?

I would love to see him sign for Newcastle but Mike Ashley would never pay that kind of fee.
